Happy 25th Wedding Anniversary, Mom and Dad! May you continue to enjoy your beautiful marriage together forever. I love you!
Good night (Good morning), Tumblr! :-)
I’m off to bed for tomorrow (later) will be an early, early day. Mom and I will head to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to get my Student Permit for driving while Mom renews her license.
On our third day in Singapore, Dad and I took a long MRT ride to downtown Singapore. Destination: Vivo City, another shopping district. I asked Dad to leave me at Forever 21 while he shops on his own. I stayed at the beautiful haven for more than two hours! Dad went in to so many stores already and all I did was enjoy Forever 21. So worth it!
After Vivo City, we went to Raffles City to visit another shopping mall. ShopShopShop. My feet were aching big time at this point.
We also went to see the Foutain of Wealth at Suntec City but the place was being decorated for an event later that night so it was useless to take photos with it.
So we decided to check out the Esplanade, which we were finally able to take pictures with. Unfortunately, due to extremely bruised feet, Dad and I no longer went to see the Merlion up close. I was only able to see it from afar. I felt kinda bad.
But realizing that I had a blast shopping and experiencing the Great Singapore Sale, then I guess it’s pretty much alright.
If there’s one thing I’m sure of, it would be that I’d definitely go back to Singapore in a heartbeat.
Day two in Singapore. Dad and I took the train from Somerset to Orchard (only one station apart!). We were on our way back to Takashimaya Shopping Center as well as Wisma Atria and other neighboring shopping malls.
We hardly had the chance to enjoy the food because we were too preoccupied with the clothes! I love forever 21, forever!
I love how Singapore is very clean and the people are so disciplined. Most of the time, I was always taken aback since the people here and in the Philippines are different. I wasn’t used to everyone being polite, helpful, and orderly. I also love how the shopping destinations in Singapore are endless! Definitely a girl’s dream come true.
That wraps up day one in Singapore where Dad and I spent the rest of the day at Takashimaya Shopping Center at Orchard Road.
I was a very happy shopper!
As promised, here are a few of the photos I took during my trip to Singapore with Dad last June 16. I hardly have photos of the scenic spots in Singapore since we spent 80% of our time inside their ginormous malls, which is really the main purpose of the trip (the Great Singapore Sale).
So here’s Part 1, enjoy!
For my visiting uncles last night in Cagayan de Oro, our family gathered for the 3rd consecutive night to treat them dinner one last time. Best night so far! The music and company was no doubt, the best. :) DanceDanceDance! Epic night to remember. Loads of LSS until this very moment. My family is the best.
My sister Frances and I attend a youth service this morning under the Golden City Alliance Fellowship Church called InsideOut. It was founded by my cousin, David. The place was packed with people, an estimated 300 came. They were dancers and a band during the worship service. It was a one of a kind experience for youth believers. I felt like I was in a rock concert for Christ.
Our topic was about love particularly our love for God. He shared to us how people like love stories and that no matter how cheesy the plot is, we still love watching one because it makes us feel good. It makes us more hopeful that we get our own love story. One thing that struck me the most was when my cousin told the audience, “You are living the most beautiful love story of your life when you are in love with God”. He’s so right and I never thought of it that way before. Now that I see it, I’m so thrilled to fall in love with Him everyday.
To the best mom in the world. Thank you for all the love and support. Thank you for raising me well. Thank you for teaching me all the right things. Thank you for being my bestfriend in the entire world. Thank you for everything. You’re utterly beautiful and special in countless of ways. I love you so much, mom.
Happy Mother’s Day!
Photo with the Fuwa, which means “good-luck dolls”. The are the mascots of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
There are five fuwa: Beibei, Jingjing, Huanhuan, Yingying, and Nini. Together, the names form the sentence “Beijing huanying ni,” which means “Beijing welcomes you”. {Via}
Cute!
