Not only did I miss my family but I missed my room and my bed. Had a great sleep last night. The comfort of home makes me not want to leave this place for one whole year and yet, it’s the comfort that drives me to be on my own and pursue what I want. I hate being a grown-up!

It’s finally the last day of 2009. Overall, it’s been a so-so year for me, definitely not the greatest. But who am I to complain when it’s mostly been a bad year for the Philippines and other parts of the world. I am extremely grateful that all is well with me, my family and friends. That nothing tragic has happened to us and that God continues to provide each and every day.

That is why I’m really looking forward to 2010 but for tonight, I want to end it right and make things memorable. No new years resolution for me. I know myself too well, I won’t even complete those resolutions before January ends!

Cheers to the new year and here’s to making more dreams come true for yourself and others, and becoming a better Christian.

My cousin, Jeremy from the States told me thru Facebook that he wants me to visit them to repay all the hospitality we give him every time he comes to visit. I thought that was really nice of him to say. Just when I thought it could get any better since it was just a casual conversation… my cousin, Matthew, also from the States, left a super sweet message for me. He’s only 7 which makes it much more amazing. Isn’t he the sweetest?

I love you so much, Mattie and I can’t wait to see you.

My adorable cousin, Matthew, whom I haven’t seen in years clearly had an awesome 2009 halloween being his favorite superhero, Spiderman. I miss this little guy so much.

I was finally able to watch This Is It with siblings and cousins this afternoon (and got cute miniature posters). It was amazing. It was great to watch him rehearse for his final concert and actually seeing him live his last days on earth. It was fun watching him do his famous hip thrusts, crotch grab, twirls, and skittering ankle twists moves over and over again.

I got so inspired after seeing the movie. At age 50, he outdoes his backup dancers who look physically fit and appear to be only half his age. I had so many chills throughout the movie. I’m a huge sucker for his songs. He was a great loss. He is such a powerhouse, an amazing performer and he continues to live and inspire people through his songs.

Best Nikon D700 Billboard Ad

Here’s guerrilla marketing at it’s best. Taking a cue from our celebrity-obsessed culture, Nikon created a life-like billboard filled with life-like images of paparazzi for the launch of the D700 in Korea. As a potential consumer passes by, the billboard springs to life with multiple flashes light, giving them a feeling of being a true celebrity. Ad placement was also well thought out. The pathway of the red carpet they are walking on leads them right into a store near the Seoul subway station, where they can purchase the Nikon D700. Simply brilliant!

HA! I’m sure my sister would love to parade in this red carpet all day, every day. :-)
