HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE MOST AMAZING SISTER IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE!
Pootie, I pray your day will be as beautiful as you are. I miss you so much. I love you!
LIKE WADDUP.
He passed by me while I was tumblr-ing and listening to GCH and then he told me that Gym Class Heroes didn’t actually sing Cupids Chokehold first, it was Supertramp who sang it first and the song was originally called Breakfast in America way back during the 1970s.
My dad’s musical knowledge is massive. That’s why his coolness factor with his kids is immeasurable.
I miss daddy and his random old school trivias <3
Happy father’s day to all the great dads out there! Most especially to the second most important man in my life, my daddy. I love you, dad! Thank you so much for raising me well, providing so many things for me, loving and supporting me, being my mentor, inspiration, role model, hero and so much more. I am more than blessed to have you as my dad. My siblings and I, are the luckiest kids alive because we have you. I love you, dad, with all my heart.
And last but most definitely not the least, to the most important person in my life, Happy father’s day, Jesus! I love you and thank you for the gift of life. You mean the world to me. You are the greatest father any child could have.
Day 18 - Favorite “healthy” Food
I like to consider fresh Chinese lumpia as a healthy food since it consists of a lot of vegetables and sometimes contains meat, shrimps, and squid. It’s one of those foods that I could eat every single day. In all honesty, my mom makes the most delicious fresh lumpia ever!!! I know I’m such a huge fan of my mom. LOL But I’m seriously telling the truth. Best. Lumpia. EVER.

Day 16 - Favorite thing to cook/bake
Favorite thing to cook: Chicken Adobo
I got it from my mama. My mom cooks the meanest chicken adobo ever! Nothing beats home cooked meals in my book. My younger brother and I love it so much.

Favorite thing to bake: Banana cake
It’s my sister’s favorite dessert to eat. I love baking it because I love seeing her eat it. She can finish the entire loaf all by herself!

Day 14 - Best restaurant meal you ever had

My family and I, we love Italianni’s. Every time we dine there, we always go home with great memories. One of the best meals we’ve had was at Italianni’s, Gateway Mall. We (my mom, sister, and brother) ordered so much food that I could still vividly remember how extremely full I was that night. I seriously had to take baby steps on the way to the car because I felt like a fragile fat cow. LOL Our server that night adored my little brother, who also showed his deep admiration for their bread, that she gave us two loaves for free along with dips! Amazing.
Day 7 - Favorite family food tradition (for Christmas, thanksgiving, birthdays, etc.)
My favorite family food tradition would be the holidays (and birthdays!) because that’s where food is most abundant. LOL
But seriously, my family loves food and boy, am I glad. Both my parents love to cook and that’s where I got my knack for cooking. Celebration or no celebration, there’s amazing food at home everyday (Thank you, God!). So each day has it’s own lovely food tradition, in my opinion.
My ultimate favorite though, is when there’s lechon! YUUUUUMMY <3 The party ain’t complete ‘til I see a roasted pig!

Day 22 - Someone you would give your life up for without question.
Definitely, without a doubt, my family.
Day 18 - A picture that makes you feel
I don’t really understand today’s challenge but I guess I’ll fill in the blank for this one.
The photo above makes me feel, above all, thankful. I took this photo the day of my birthday, January 11, two years ago (2009). It was a Sunday then and my family and I had everything planned for my 20th birthday. We were going to go church, then have lunch at the mall, and go home to prepare for the party later that night. But just as we got out of bed, we were surprised to see how strong the rain was and friends from church told us not to go anymore because most parts of the city were already flooded. When afternoon came, the flood was getting worse and I told my parents we should just cancel the party but my dad strongly insisted otherwise. As luck would have it, the electricity went off. So our plans on having our guests for the party make their own pizza (with the dough I prepared ahead of time), was a no-go. And all my relatives, like us, were greatly affected by the flood. But come night time, all of them made it to my birthday dinner. I was genuinely touched and got teary eyed. *Awww* Despite what I thought was a disaster day, turned out to be a really beautiful birthday because it reminded me of how blessed am I that no one in my family got hurt by the incident and how much I am loved by the people closest to my heart.
Day 16 - Something that you want to do within the next five years.
My goal within the next five years is to be doing something I’m passionate about. I’m hoping it’s about food.
Since I started my culinary classes at CACS, not a single day has passed where I did not look forward to going to class (yes, even on exam days). I enjoy being in school a lot and I learn a ton of things in just one day.
I am really happy where I am today and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me in the coming years. But I’m taking everything as it comes - day by day.

I missed day 16 (May 16, 2010) of the Tumblr Challenge because since my relatives are here and day 16 falls on a Sunday, I was out for family day. I was pretty tired from the previous night so I woke up late, we left for the 2:30 P.M. church service at CCF St. Francis (amazing and comical speaker btw), and hung out at Megamall right after.
Dinner at Saisaki, SM Megamall
My cousin, Cay and I
with Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago. ( See how I am not peculiarly tall at all? Even the senator is taller than me :| Jeeeez )
LOVE LOVE LOVE <3
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY, MOM! You are the most amazing mom in the world. I will forever be grateful to God because He gave me you. You are one of life’s greatest blessings. I love you very much.
Day 04 - What you imagine paradise to be like
I took these photos last April 2007 when my family and I went to Carrascal in Surigao del Sur, which is my Grandma’s hometown. It’s basically a small town and the people there have the simplest type of life you can imagine. It took us around 10 hours to get to Carrascal from Cagayan de Oro by car. It was such a long ride but all I can remember was how much fun I had with my cousins and siblings while in the car.
The beaches there are absolutely breathtaking. My words won’t give its beauty any justice - you have to see it for yourself. The waters are so clear and the sand, so fine and white. I would consider it paradise because we were the only ones there and it felt like time was moving so slow and all we had was the sun, the sand, the blue waters, the incredibly fresh and delicious seafood, and each other’s company.
I know this place is nothing compared to Heaven, which to me is the ultimate paradise, but Carrascal would definitely do while I’m still here on earth. I miss it already!
Today, my Mom is celebrating her 51st birthday and I am extremely bummed that I am not in Cagayan de Oro right now to celebrate with her and the rest of my family.
I also want to share that… MY DAD IS THE SWEETEST! Even though he hardly expresses his feelings, he always does the sweetest things for my mom. My mom didn’t want a huge party for her birthday. Instead, she only wants to celebrate with my dad, sister and brother. My dad, on the other hand had the opposite thing in mind, so he threw my mom a dinner party inviting all our relatives. Such a sweetheart. I’m kilig for my mom. She deserves it. They told me I was the only one missing tonight. Sad, I know.
Happy birthday, Mom! I love you so much. Next to God, you and dad mean the most to me (don’t worry my lovely sister and cute brother, you both are next in line). I pray that God will continue to bless you and give you a tremendous amount of happiness to last you a lifetime.
With the best parents a child can ever have :-) Thank you so much for everything.
